  • August 15th:
    • Jumpstart (8:30 AM - 10:30 AM) for all 6th grade students and new 7th/8th graders
    • Open House (12:00 PM - 3:00 PM) for families
  • August 19th: First Day of the 24-25 School Year
  • September 11th: Back to School Night (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM) for families

School Supplies

School Supplies

Get ready for the 2024-2025 school year with these essential supplies:

  • Pencils with erasers
  • Colored pencils
  • Highlighters
  • Small ruler with standard and metric measurements
  • Pens (blue or black ink)
  • Plug-in headphones (NO Bluetooth, USB or Aux Jack required)
  • Folder with pockets (for Science)
  • Composition notebook (for English)
  • 3 Three-ring binders with dividers/tabs (for Science, Social Studies, and Math)

Please note that these are just suggestions, and your child may need additional supplies depending on their individual needs.

This flyer provides information on accessing grades, assignments, communicating with teachers, managing student fees, and staying informed about your child's progress. Learn how to use SIS ParentVue, Schoology, Talking Points, Lightspeed Parent Reports, My School Bucks, and more.

After-School Program

Holmes After-School Program:

  • Who: ALL Holmes Middle School Students
  • What: Free after-school program with academics, enrichment, community service, culture, and recreation.
  • When: Mon-Fri, 2:15-4:45 PM (Starts Monday, September 11, 2024)
  • Where: Holmes Middle School
  • Why: Fun, free, strengthens relationships, includes snacks & transportation (Mon-Thurs)
  • How to Participate: Sign-up and choose activity during lunch on the day you wish to stay. 
  • Registration form required: Click here to complete the Registration Google Form or fill out and return the paper copy located on page 2 of the flyer.

Transportation:

  • Buses provided Mon-Thurs at 4:45 PM.
  • Friday pick-up required by 4:45 PM.
  • Students walking home can sign out after 3:30 PM.

Additional Notes:

  • Program participation is a privilege and requires following school rules.
  • Program may be cancelled due to weather emergencies.
