Good morning, Holmes Families!  

I hope you are enjoying the first few weeks of summer!  Even though school is not in session, the learning continues for our staff while we enjoy some time away from school.  This summer, all instructional staff members at Holmes are reading Power Up (Neebe & Roberts, 2015) as we prepare for the transition to 1:1 learning for our 8th grade students next year who will receive laptops to use in school and at home!  We are excited to join FCPS in this digital transformation as we work to engage students in deeper, more personalized learning.  

Are you the parent of a rising 6th grader?  Help spread the word about this newsletter and encourage other parents of rising 6th graders to subscribe to these updates through News You Choose.  For parents of rising 9th graders who no longer wish to receive this newsletter, you can unsubscribe at the same link and subscribe to the high school distribution lists instead.  

Summer Hours: Our summer office hours will be limited from now through the beginning of August.  Our office will be open from 8 AM - 12 PM each day.  

Summer FEEDS Program: We are excited that FCPS' Office of Food & Nutrition Services has paired up with the USDA to offer free lunches to students at a number of sites in neighborhoods that are close to our Holmes families (see link above) between June 18th and August 27th!  

Free breakfast and dinner will also be available at Holmes MS between July 9th and July 27th as we host our summer programs.  Find more information HERE!

Holmes MS Summer Programs:  Holmes is hosting 3 small summer programs between July 9th and July 26th.  For more information and the schedule and transportation for your students if they are participating, please contact:
